Claire Heaney is a Research Fellow in the Applied Modelling and Computation Group (AMCG) and Imperial-X at Imperial College London. Her expertise lies in computational fluid dynamics, scientific machine learning and reduced-order modelling applied to the urban environment. Claire is working closely with others at AMCG on an AI-based PDE solver which has the potential to seamlessly integrate physics-based and data-driven approaches within the same framework. She is extending this framework to address inverse problems and perform optimisation tasks, such as optimising green infrastructure to reduce a person's exposure to pollution.
